Continuing to bring scientific discoveries to cancer patients is an integral part of the Wilmot Cancer Institute’s mission. To help that cause, the Institute launched a $30 million campaign with a focus on research. The campaign is being led by local philanthropists Richard T. Bell and Robert W. Kessler; University Trustee Thomas C. Wilmot, Sr., is serving as an honorary campaign chair. Building on a commitment to cancer research that spans three generations, the Wilmot family and the James P. Wilmot Foundation contributed gifts totaling $4 million to help launch the campaign at the 15th annual Discovery Ball, held on May 10.
