Thomas J. Farrell ’88, ’90W (MS) was named senior vice president and the James D. Thompson Chief Advancement Officer on August 6. Farrell’s position was endowed by a gift from University Trustee Larry Bloch ’75, P’13S and his wife, Cindy Bloch P’13S.  On November 1, he replaced James Osterholt who had served as the interim chief advancement officer since September 2013. Prior to joining the University, he was chief development officer for the University of Illinois and president/CEO of the University of Illinois Foundation.
